NEOK Chapter President
The Final Cut…
The end is near and it was a great ride! I want to thank everyone that made this year a successful Northeastern Oklahoma year! Please perform the way you have the past few years for our incoming President, Nolan Chance. He is excited to take over and already has placed in motion some changes that will make NEOK even better.
By the time you are reading this newsletter the CRC in San Antonio will be over, and the team will be coming back to Tulsa to present and to congratulate everyone that is awarded and recognized. I will be glad the presentations are over, the report is finished and the last meeting is upon my tenure. I could not have done what we did as a chapter without the great support we have from all of you.
Just a quick summary of what happened this year. We were lucky to have two Distinguished Lecturers present this year. Most chapters usually get one, maybe two. We were working on a third for this year! What a great job from our Programs Committee. The Golf Tournament was a huge success, plan on getting a team together next fall. The Research Auction was quite entertaining this year, and we look forward to our spring skeet shooting event. More details to follow soon.
We attended our Day on the Hill one week before the capitol was surrounded by teachers from across the state. It was busy when we were there, I cannot imagine how it was with all the teachers and their supporters. Our Sustainability project was cancelled due to inclement weather, but we are working on rescheduling for the first week of June. Please come on out and help us work for Habitat for Humanity.
Take note that our next chapter meeting is on May 2nd with our guest speaker, Kolynn Marshall with Watts, who will be discussing Radiant Heating and Cooling. This meeting is a lunchevent where will also introduce the new leadership team for the upcoming year.
I look forward to my year as Delegate and the PAOE Tsar and again, thanks for all the help and support our members have shown, not only to me, but to the entire chapter this past year.
